City of Lake Oswego

MacLeod Reckord assisted the City of Lake Oswego with reclamation of this industrial site and transformation to an iconic waterfront destination park on the banks of the Willamette River. The 9 acre site and former concrete plant and wood chip manufacturing facility was reclaimed and restored as part of a regional multi-use pathway along the river. Park program elements include a civic plaza, interactive water element, an amphitheater, restrooms, shelters, viewpoints, and provision for a future pleasure boat marina on the river. The regional trail along the shoreline provides another segment in the expansive Willamette Greenway Trail system.  Shoreline habitat restoration, wildflower/eco grass meadow and sustainable measures for stormwater treatment helped to integrate the park with the natural shoreline environment and are important elements in the park design.
