Equity in Public Design

MacLeod Reckord acknowledges that race and racism affect a person’s ability to navigate the public realm. We are committed to creating parks, trails and streets that are safe, comfortable, and accessible for all people regardless of race, gender, or physical ability. Our community involvement process strives to reach and give voice to populations that are underserved or underrepresented due to race, income, language, education level, mobility limitations, or fear. Our 50+ year legacy of built work, ranging from public parks to trails to streets, supports a diversity of users and promotes civility, equality, and health, which are the essential values of strong communities. MacLeod Reckord will continue to push for inclusivity and equity in all our work.
